Soul Refresh

Why do I attend services, worship Christ, live this lifestyle? I’m sure many have their reasons why they do or don’t.

For me...

It’s because I know how imperfect I am. I know that my soul needs a restoring from time to time.

He restores my soul;

He leads me in the paths of righteousness

For His name’s sake.

Psalm 23:3

And I know that this journey is easier with like minded people to travel with.

So when my soul feels overwhelmed, I know who to call for a refreshing.

And when weights (mental, spiritual & physical) are way to heavy...I know who to leave them with.

Hear my cry, O God;

Listen to my prayer.

From the end of the earth I call to You, when my heart is overwhelmed and weak;

Lead me to the rock that is higher than I [a rock that is too high to reach without Your help].

For You have been a shelter and a refuge for me,

A strong tower against the enemy.

Psalm 61: 1-3

So on this “Soul Sunday” I hope you have taken time for refreshing, care and restoration.

Christ promised new mercies daily and that includes mercy for the soul. Happy Soul Sunday!
